Small daily habits, with meditation at the center, that hold up on your busiest days.

Stay steady under pressure, without burning out.

04

You wake up already behind.

You react all day instead of choosing.

Rest feels like another thing to optimize.

Your attention belongs to everyone else.

You keep waiting for life to calm down.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

No productivity hack, morning routine, or perfectly organized calendar can compensate for a system that's running on permanent low-grade emergency.

THE PROBLEM ISN'T YOU

This isn't a willpower problem.

Something that's yours, start to finish.

Practice alongside others instead of alone.

Moving because it feels good, not to burn something off.

A few minutes a day to hear yourself think.

Connection
Clarity
Regulation
Presence

They used to be part of everyday life. Now you have to make room for them on purpose. Groundwork puts them back, one small habit at a time.

Why it feels so hard

Modern life took four things out of your day.

Choosing where your attention goes instead of giving it to whatever's loudest.

Staying close to people without losing yourself.

Knowing what matters, what can wait, and what isn't yours.

Bouncing back in minutes instead of staying wound up for hours.

What Changes When You Do Groundwork?

Steady doesn't mean still.

Eventually I realized the same capacities we ask of people working inside conflict are the capacities we need to stay human and thrive  inside modern life.

REAd my story

I didn't learn this from a productivity book. I came to this work through more than two decades of contemplative meditation practice and years working in international peacebuilding—places where staying grounded under complexity and shaping a new path forward isn't a lifestyle preference. It's part of the work.
